On your birthday, I honor the quiet, wise love you gave me; love that understood when closeness could heal and when it could harm. Long before I could name it, you saw that forcing the family to remain as it was would only deepen wounds. From your final days, you offered me your most careful guidance: “maintain some distance; let her be”.
It was not rejection, but protection. Though it first felt like loss and confusion, time revealed your choice for what it truly was—an imperfect but loving boundary meant to preserve my dignity, peace, and wholeness when togetherness was no longer safe. In letting go of what you once held together, you gave me your greatest gift: permission to live with calm and self-respect.
Your wisdom guided me toward faith in the Almighty; the force that shapes our lives, protects our paths, and gives meaning to love, endurance, and the lessons we receive. Through your guidance, I have learned to walk in that light with gratitude. Thank you, Ma, for a love that was brave, protective, and lasting. Today, I celebrate you for the care, freedom, and quiet strength you gave me to live fully, guided by your love and grace.
