Rocky, the Rockstar

This is a story about the cute little brown Labrador Retriever who arrived at our home a few weeks ago. I am surprised by the fact that he has won over my heart in just these few days by his unique nonverbal communications. It was a long ride for him, all the way from Midwest to the east coast of United States in a van with the breeder. Since the day he came I have been wondering what’s going on in his mind as he stares lovingly at me. This is his fourth week with us. What are his puppy thoughts as he adjusts to his new home? My heart goes out to feel his emotions, if he misses his Mama and Papa? and his brothers and sisters with whom he was used to play and cuddle in bed.

“This doesn’t look like a parking lot. Thanks, Kate, for finally getting me out of this crate! Phew! Is it my turn now? My drop off point may be. Looks like this is it!

Nice grass, I love it. Who is this boy trying to grab me? Come on I can easily fool him and run around the house. Oh Oh! I need to potty. I am loving this; rolling on the grass and stretching my legs; just hope I don’t have to get back to the van again.

Hmm. Nice toys! The big cousins were playing with something like this the other day. But, looks like they are not around here. Really no one? Wonder what happened to them and wonder where I came? Now I see two more folks trying to get me. Love the attention though… they seem very excited! Let’s wander around and grab the toys together and relax a bit. This looks like a good spot to me. So far so good. Hmm… don’t see Kate anymore”
